2. Meter fares, by the nature of their calculation, can vary as much as €8 on a €22 journey. This is because of uncontrollable factors such as unexpected traffic, which you pay for as the meter is still calculating when you are stopped.

3. Discount fares are based on the amount on the meter. Passengers still do not know the cost of a journey until the end and the discount fluctuates in-line with the meter calculation. With Network’s maximum fares system you know how much it will cost before the journey starts.

4. To comply with Taxi Regulations we use the Taxi meter even on agreed rate fares, when you reach your destination you only pay the maximum fare quoted. In the unlikely case of the meter fare being cheaper you pay the lesser amount.
